Mareterra, Monaco's new eco-district
Mareterra transforms the Principality with an additional six hectares.
To celebrate the opening of this extraordinary project, ecologically responsible shows lit up the sky on December 4, featuring concerts, drone shows and pyrotechnic performances.
Since December 5, the public has had the pleasure of discovering these new spaces, underlining the scale and uniqueness of Mareterra. The main attractions include a seafront Promenade Prince Jacques with a unique mineral atmosphere, a blue grotto offering a glimpse into the heart of the structure for the curious, a relaxation area conducive to meditation, green spaces, villas and apartment blocks, and the Quai du Petit Portier with its marina.
Living spaces designed by some of the world's most renowned architects, including Renzo Piano, Tadao Ando and Lord Norman Foster. Interviewed by the Financial Times the Sovereign expressed his satisfaction and underlined the eco-responsible nature of this unique project: "Mareterra embodies the call of our time for a renewed harmony between humanity and nature. It is an initiative that reflects Monaco's enduring commitment to preserving the unique beauty and biodiversity of the Mediterranean, while meeting the needs of a modern, sustainable principality."
