The Swimming Pools

  • Le Méridien Beach Plaza: Blue as far as the eye can see! Like a painting, the blue of its pool blends with that of the sea and the sky, creating a sense of infinite tranquillity. Close your eyes and enjoy the sound of the waves from your sun lounger – nothing else! The Hotel has both an indoor and outdoor pool so you can enjoy yourself whatever the weather.
  • Nikki Beach at Fairmont Monte-Carlo : Perched on the 7th and top floor of the Hotel, the Nikki Beach pool immerses you in a luxurious, exotic atmosphere. From this rooftop, take in the breathtaking 360° view and enjoy the DJ’s tunes, all whilst sipping delicious cocktails.

The ‘Amù by the pool’ concept, designed for families staying at the Hotel, offers a unique experience combining luxury, relaxation and fine dining, redefining the very idea of a day by the pool.

  • Odyssey at the Hotel Métropole Monte-Carlo: Conceived and designed by Karl Lagerfeld, L’Odyssey is a true haven of peace in the heart of the Principality. Relax in a heated seawater pool surrounded by a sumptuous garden, representing the journey of Ulysses. This summer, L’Odyssey welcomes Zia Pop-up, Chef Christophe Cussac’s new concept, promising evenings under the stars imbued with dolce vita.

  • Columbus Monte-Carlo: Tucked away from prying eyes, the Columbus Hotel’s swimming pool invites you to relax with a view of the sea. Located in a residential area of the Principality, its tranquillity will offer you a haven of peace during your stay.
  • Novotel Monte-Carlo: Nestled in the heart of Monte-Carlo’s chic and vibrant district, as if emerging from a mirage, the Hôtel Novotel Monte Carlo’s swimming pool will be your refreshing oasis for a moment.
  • Stade Nautique Rainier III at Port Hercule:. As the locals call it, "the Port pool", it will surprise you right in the heart of the Principality! Situated at the foot of the Rock, surrounded by Monaco’s famous Formula 1 circuit and the luxury yachts peacefully moored along the quay, the “Port pool” certainly makes an impression. It is ideal for families visiting the Principality thanks to its proximity to all amenities (transport, supermarkets, etc.), its heated seawater and its facilities designed for younger visitors (slide, diving boards, etc.).

Beaches and private beaches

  • Larvotto seaside resort : With its shaded promenade, vast public beach, shops and restaurants, the Larvotto seaside complex appeals to young and old, locals and visitors alike, whether they’re looking to relax or fancy a refreshing dip! Beyond all these amenities, the Larvotto also hosts a 14-hectare marine protected area, thereby supporting local wildlife and serving as a real-life laboratory for scientists.

For over ten years, Larvotto’s public beach has featured a Handiplage site, an initiative set up with the support of the Soroptimist association. The site welcomes people with disabilities and reduced mobility, enabling them to enjoy the pleasures of swimming. Young Handiplage volunteers welcome and assist people with reduced mobility whilst they are in the water.

Enjoy the private beaches of the Larvotto seaside resort. You’ll be spoilt for choice with Le Neptune, La Note Bleue, Le Miami Plage and finally Falco Beach, the festive new addition to La Rose des Vents recently taken over by businessman Flavio Briatore (also owner of Twiga, Billionaire, Cipriani, Crazy Pizza and Cova). Each venue offers a unique concept, allowing you to enjoy your meals to the gentle sound of the waves lapping the shore.

  • Solarium Beach: Located on the Rainier III breakwater at Port Hercule, Solarium Beach offers access to the sea via ladders, ideal for those seeking tranquillity in the heart of the Principality. Please note, this area is deep and therefore reserved for strong swimmers.
  • Crique des pêcheurs: This spot, favoured by those in the know, is perfect for anyone wishing to swim with the Mediterranean as their only view! People also come here to enjoy the waves crashing against the pebbles. Please note: when the sea is very rough, access is prohibited and extremely dangerous.
  • Le Méridien Beach Plaza: Monaco’s only seaside resort with a private beach directly connected to the Hotel, perfect for a relaxing day spent between the beach and the pool.

Water sports and courses for children

  • 50 shades of blue at Le Méridien Beach Plaza : From the hotel’s private jetty, enjoy activities such as tubing, fly fishing, and banana boats, as well as jet skiing and water skiing, guaranteeing a day well spent.
  • Self-service paddleboards at Larvotto: Paddle to your heart’s content with the new self-service paddleboard hire system at Larvotto, available all year round via the Equip Sport mobile app. (Available on Apple and Android).

  • The Monegasque Academy of the Sea: Led by diver and freediver Pierre Frolla, the Academy of the Sea introduces children to the wonders of the seabed. From scuba diving and snorkelling to water rescue, these one-week summer courses inspire young people to protect marine life.
  • The Monaco Underwater Exploration Club (CESMM): The CESMM, whose Honorary President is H.S.H. Prince Albert II, invites you to dive in and discover the underwater mysteries of the Mediterranean. Exploration dives for all levels, with morning and night sessions, await you for a memorable underwater experience.
  • Yacht Club de Monaco: With the Monaco Yacht Club, sailing is within easy reach, supervised by passionate professionals. Summer sports courses for young people aged 6 to 15 are available, featuring sailing, snorkelling, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking and even Rafting trips in rigid-hulled inflatables. A great way to explore Monaco’s waters whilst learning about the marine environment.
  • Monaco Nautical Society : Row towards new horizons with the Société Nautique de Monaco’s summer rowing courses for beginners and advanced rowers aged 12 and over. A chance to enjoy a sporty summer with the Principality’s oldest sports association.
  • Sustainable Whale Watching in Monaco and Monaco Riviera Navigation to encounter dolphins and whales or admire the Principality in a unique way.
  • Fishing: In Monaco, recreational and leisure fishing are subject to regulations. The Monegasque Federation of Sport Fishing has produced a freely available map to guide you to accessible fishing areas. (Green zones are accessible without restriction, with the exception of the Solarium area). Spearfishing, however, requires a special permit from the Maritime and Airport Police Division.
