The Principality ranks among Europe’s top destinations!

For the past fifteen years or so, the European Best Destinations website has been compiling a ranking of the 20 best destinations on the Old Continent, based on the opinions of no fewer than one million travellers from 172 countries.

And the verdict for 2024 is in: the Principality was overwhelmingly favoured by voters, coming second in this ranking out of a total of 500 destinations, behind the seaside resort of Marbella and ahead of the island of Malta.

This popular recognition serves to highlight the many advantages offered by Monaco as a destination, a subtle blend of glamour, culture and relaxation. A Principality renowned as much for its safety as for its unrivalled gastronomic experiences, its world-class cultural and sporting events, and its truly unique nightlife.

The award was welcomed by Guy Antognelli, Director of Tourism and Conventions for Monaco: “This award, presented by the visitors themselves, is both a recognition of the daily efforts made by all the Principality’s tourism professionals and an affirmation of the destination’s renewal and its unique positioning, confirming that Monaco is like nowhere else.”
