A history of enthusiasts
At the end of the 1950s, Prince Rainier III, a car enthusiast, began collecting classic cars. Over the years, the collection grew and grew. After more than forty years of collecting and restoring his hundred or so vehicles, the garage at the Prince's Palace proved too small to hold his fleet: superb cars with monumental or sporting silhouettes, majestic bodywork, gleaming bonnets and royal grilles! It was in 1993 that Prince Rainier III decided to unveil his treasures to the public. Prince Albert II continued to add to the private collection.
The princely family's legendary cars
This exhibition allows visitors to step back in time and relive thehistory of the Princely family. Unique items such as the Chrysler specially imported from the United States by Rainier III to pick up Princess Grace from the port are on display. You can also admire the Lexus with a glass cockpit at the rear, built for the royal wedding of HSH Prince Albert II and HSH Princess Charlene in 2011.
Immersed in the world of cars
From luxury cars to iconic models and racing cars, the vehicles on display epitomise pomp and engineering. From Hispano-Suiza to majestic Rolls-Royce, from sleek Ferraris to daring Lamborghinis , from Maseratis and Alfa Romeos to the more classic Renault 4CVs and Citroën 2CVs, this prestigious collection offers an insight into the world of the automobile and the Principality's princely heritage.
Monegasque racing cars
A veritable temple of mechanical prestige, the museum brings together emblematic racing models: rally cars that won fame in the Paris-Dakar and the Monte-Carlo Rally rub shoulders with F1 single-seaters from the Monaco Grand Prix. Ferrari, Lotus, Mercedes, McLaren... these cars have shaped the legend of motor sport.
Whether you're a fan of beautiful machines, a rally enthusiast or just curious, this tour is an invitation to daydream in a modern, immersive setting. A not-to-be-missed event, open to visitors all year round.
Enthusiasts will also be delighted to discover Top Marques, the international supercar show held every year in Monaco under the patronage of HSH Prince Albert II.
