Dolceacqua,
twinned with the municipality of Monaco since 3 November 2023, is the most
famous village in Val Nervia, which winds through the picturesque Ligurian Alps
of northern Italy.
Just a few
kilometres from the Principality, with its 15th century Romanesque bridge and Doria Castle, (painted by Monet when he stayed here in 1884), the characteristic "carugi" or narrow streets, restaurants and shops, Dolceacqua is a lovely place to spend wonderful
moments in the company of family and friends, also perfect for a romantic
getaway.
