Photography Exhibition: "Mission Badu Island"

"Mission Badu Island", a photography exhibition that tells the story of the expedition by H.S.H. Prince Albert II and Les Explorations de Monaco to the small island of Badu, between Australia and Papua New GuineaFrom Wednesday 19 June to Monday 30 September 2019, Musée océanographique de Monaco

True to the spirit of the historic expeditions undertaken by his ancestor Prince Albert I, H.S.H. Prince Albert II has relaunched Les Explorations de Monaco. As part of the initiative, he travelled to Badu, an island in the Torres Strait in Queensland (north-eastern Australia). There, H.S.H. Prince Albert II explored the culture of the island's inhabitants, who favour a balanced and respectful relationship between humans and nature. Accompanied by Robert Calcagno, Executive Director of the Oceanographic Institute, the Prince found a tremendous source of inspiration on his voyage.

The exhibition on display since 27 April 2019 at the Oceanographic Museum tells the story of the expedition, and relates a first meeting in Monaco.
