The four friends and musicians of the Gala
Swing Quartet play a blend of swing and gypsy jazz on guitars, violin and bass.
This young group interprets both unusual
adaptations of classics of the genre and original compositions, with a free
interpretation.
With three albums to their credit and dates
in Europe and Asia, the quartet has been refining its swing for five years.
The group consists of self-taught guitarist
Alexis Desmarais, Alexandre Florentiny, an acoustic bass player who trained at
the Institut Musical de Formation Professionnelle (Insitute of Professional Musical
Training) (IMFP), Gaspard Doussière, a violinist who trained at the Centre des
Musiques Didier Lockwood (Didier Lockwood Music Centre)(CMDL) and Tom Valdman,
guitarist, who trained at the IMFP.
