Look out for the volcanic cliffs of the Pointe des Douaniers, the explanatory boards with info about local plants, the villas and their gardens, the antique grindstone quarry, and more.

Walk along the side of the Stade Louis II (terminus of bus lines 5 and
6) towards the port of Cap d’Ail and the Marriott hotel. Pass the hotel
and through the port until you reach the south-west corner of the harbour,
where there are steps down to Marquet beach. Follow the harbour to its
south-west corner (car park). The coastal path starts from here and leads
directly to Mala beach, via the Pointe des Douaniers and Cap Rognosco. Return
by the same route.
Alternative return
itinerary: From the beach, head up the steps and Allée de la Mala until you reach
Avenue F. de May. Walk down this avenue. Outside the Eden Residence, head left
and through the Parc Sacha Guitry which leads to Avenue R. Gramaglia. Head up
the avenue for around 400 metres. Take the first on the right, then left, and
head onto Chemin du Cap Rognoso which follows the avenue du 3 septembre (‘Basse
Corniche’). Follow this avenue for 100 metres, and on your right you should see
the Chemin Da Souta, which runs below the road and heads back up the Eglise
Notre-Dame du Cap Fleuri via the Chemin du Golfe. Turn right and head down
Avenue W. Churchill until you reach the far end, leading onto Allée A.
Dalmasso. At the end, take the stairs on the right back to the Marquet beach
tennis courts and the Stade Louis II.
Please note: For safety reasons, the path is closed to the public in bad
weather. Avoid the path when sea
conditions are rough
