Pianist Josef Bulva Celebrates the Tenth Anniversary of the Athina Ichthyosis Association Monaco

Pianist Josef Bulva will perform at the Salle Garnier, Monte-Carlo Opera, on 6 May 2014

Created in 2004, the Athina Ichthyosis Association Monaco (AAIM) raises funds for scientific research into this congenital skin disease.

In ten years, EUR 400,000 has already been raised;  this has made it possible to make major advances in various fields, such as genetic testing for the most severe types of this potentially life-threatening disease, a prenatal diagnostic test and the introduction of a therapeutic strategy and computerised system for monitoring patients and collecting data.

To mark its tenth anniversary, the AAIM is organising a special recital by pianist Josef Bulva, under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, on Tuesday 6 May 2014 at 7 p.m. in the Salle Garnier, Mont-Carlo Opera.

The concert will be followed by a gala dinner in the Salle Eiffel at the Hermitage Hotel from 9 p.m., in the presence of Josef Bulva and partners of the AAIM.  The aim of this evening event is to raise funds for further medical research into ichthyosis.
