The Atmosphere in Monaco Will be Electric!

The countdown for the EVER Monaco Show 2010 has begun. Around 50 ecological vehicles will be on show from 25 to 28 March at the Grimaldi Forum. En route for a "clean" future!

Specialist manufacturers of "ecological vehicles" will exhibit this year, alongside Nissan, Peugeot, Citroën, Toyota, Honda, Tesla, and others.

MITSUBISHI, who have recently supplied the Principality of Monaco with four examples of their compact, electric smart city car, the i-MiEV, will demonstrate it to the public.  It will be the first 100% electric "real" car from a well-known manufacturer (0gCO2/km when driven), and will be on sale.

VENTURI, pioneers in the field of electric vehicles for the past ten years, will show the Venturi Fétish, the first electric sports vehicle;  the Venturi Eclectic, their innovative urban vehicle;  and the "Powered by Venturi" Berlingo.

DAIMLER will present two "eco-citizen" versions of the legendary Smart Fortwo - the Smart Neutroclimat, with carbon offsets, and the Smart electric drive, the perfect solution for urban mobility, with zero emissions!

The NEWTEON company, Europe's leading distributor of electric vehicles, will present the Estrima Biro for the first time in Monaco - a two-seater that does not require a licence and is "as practical as a scooter and as safe as a car."

ECO & MOBILITE will show and demonstrate its SimplyCity range of electric vehicles, which are already on the market.  The SimplyCity range is designed and manufactured in France and consists of utility vehicles (a van and pick-up truck) as well as leisure and family vehicles (the Sun, and the City four seater).

The LA POSTE (Post Office) group will demonstrate its commitment to sustainable transportive via its ecologically-designed stand. This is a key aspect of its business strategy for 2008-2012. La Poste aims to reduce its transport-related CO2 emissions by 15% by 2012, using a full range of electric vehicles - electric cars and quadricycles, electrically assisted bicycles and electric trolleys.

VENTEC, a world leader in lithium battery management systems has chosen to unveil its ENTEC iBMS technology for the very first time at the EVER Monaco show.  ENTEC iBMS is the latest generation of BMS (Battery Management Systems) for the automobile market.

PIAGGIO will arrive with the world's first hybrid scooter, the MP 3 Hybrid. The Piaggio MP 3 Hybrid is equipped with two motors, a combustion engine and an electric motor, which operate in synergy to reduce fuel consumption and emissions.  Its fuel consumption is only 1.7 l/100 km;  emissions are 40g/km of CO2 when operating as 2/3 hybrid and 1/3 electric.

A world first will take place in Monaco!  La Compagnie des Autobus de Monaco (the Monaco Bus Company) will soon be testing its first full-size automatic electric bike station in the streets of the Principality. It will be possible to book an electric bicycle by phone or Internet using this centrally managed system, which will select and reserve the bicycle with the most charged battery and indicate its number and exact location.
