Two new works: "White Darkness" by Nacho Duato and "The
Lavender Follies" by Joseph Hernandez, performed by the Compagnie des
Ballets de Monte-CarloThursday 26, Friday 27, Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 July, at 8pm Opéra de Monte-Carlo - Salle Garnier
Nacho Duato composed the ballet "WHITE DARKNESS" as a
requiem for the unexpected loss of a sister. The result is a masterpiece that critics say has
"reached impossible heights" in the modern art landscape.
As for Joseph Hernandez, an American choreographer who is familiar
to the Ballets de Monte-Carlo, the audience in Monaco remembers his ironic aesthetic
universe, which is always right on the mark with the quality of movement and his
"urgency to live" ... this time he has created "THE LAVENDER
FOLLIES" for the Compagnie des Ballets de Monte-Carlo.
