In writing "The Idiot,"
Dostoevsky wanted to represent mankind as good, in a positive way. But what could he do when faced with
the vices of society and when faced with passion?Monday 7 May, at 8.30 pm Théâtre Princesse Grace
"The Idiot" is a
beautifully composed narrative, full of extraordinary twists and turns; it is like Russia, vibrant and
excessive.
This work is a political manifesto
by the author, and his credo; it
was, and will remain a key work. It
is the story of a man who tended towards good but was beset by evil.
Thomas Le Douarec offers a new
adaptation of this text, following a residency at the Princess Grace Theatre.
