Rally Car Exhibition

From 21 December 2019 until 15 March 2020 the H.S.H. Prince of Monaco Car Collection will host a unique exhibition of cars which have become legendary in world rally. From Saturday 21 December 2019 to Sunday 15 March 2020, Cars Collection of H.S.H. the Prince of Monaco

During this exceptional exhibition, some fifty racing cars, the most iconic in this discipline, including some with a prestigious track record and which have made millions of fans dream about them on French and international roads, will be gathered in the Principality for three months. 

Visitors will be able to discover and admire the following vehicles:

PEUGEOT 205 TURBO 16 EVOLUTION 2 groupe B
This authentic race car won the Swedish Rally in 1986 driven by Juha KANKKUNEN in his first appearance in the World Championship. 

LANCIA DELTA HF 4WD groupe B
This LANCIA is the one which came 3rd at the San Remo rally with Massimo BIASION and 2nd at the RAC rally with Markku ALEN in 1986. In 1987, the Delta HF 4WD achieved a double in the inaugural Monte Carlo rally (Miki BIASION ahead of Juha KANKKUNEN). 

TOYOTA CELICA TURBO 4WD groupe B et groupe A
This car is the one which Juha KANKKUNEN competed in at the Hong Kong/Beijing rally in 1985.

MITSUBISHI LANCER EVO 3 groupe A
This ex-Tommi MAKINEN Mitsubishi is the one with which he won the Finland rally in 1996, the year of his first world champion title. 

CITROËN XSARA WRC
In the hands of Sébastien LOEB, his co-driver Daniel ELENA and their teammates, this car has achieved 32 victories, 3 constructors’ world champion titles and as many drivers and co-drivers’ world champion titles.

CITROËN DS3 WRC
This won the World Rally Championship in 2011 and 2012, winning twenty times in two years, ensuring a ninth title for Sébastien LOEB and his co-driver Daniel ELENA, as well as a seventh title for Citroën.

LANCIA 037 préparation CHARDONNET
Lancia was represented in France by its independent importer André CHARDONNET. He had set up a very effective competition service by securing the assistance of Jean-Claude ANDRUET, perhaps the most talented French rally driver of the time. The 037 was able to win in Group B and brought Lancia a world title in 1983.

 RENAULT 5 MAXI TURBO
Produced between 1980 and 1986, the Renault 5 Turbo is now a true French icon. As soon as it entered the track, the R5 Turbo demonstrated a surprising agility in rally and abilities that allowed Jean RAGNOTTI to win multiple victories, including the French Rally Championship, the Monte Carlo Rally and the Tour of Corsica, among others.

SUBARU IMPREZA WRC
The one exhibited is the 2001 World Rally Champion driven by Englishman Richard BURNS.

FORD FOCUS WRC
This Ford Focus is the one driven by Carlo SAINZ, double world champion in 1990 and 1992.
