"Mademoiselle Molière", a historical play by Gérard Savoisien.Thursday 5, Friday 6, Saturday 7 at 8.30 pm and Sunday 8 December 2019 at 2.30 pm and 5 pm Théâtre des Muses

The year is 1661. Jean-Baptiste Poquelin has now achieved fame with his play, "Les Précieuses Ridicules". Yet his professional success conceals a personal crisis. The legendary couple formed by Jean-Baptiste Poquelin and Madeleine Béjart is at breaking point. What is going on between them?

Through deliciously barbed dialogue, the author and director presents two people who are in love, were in love, but will soon be out of love. The audience is invited into the intimate lives of a famous couple, but one that, like any other, falls apart.  This is not so much the story of Molière and Madeleine Béjart, as that of a man who falls for a woman younger than his wife.
