Some events have withstood the challenge posed by Covid-19. One of them is the Meeting Herculis EBS, a major international athletics meeting organised in collaboration with the Monegasque public authorities, the Wanda Diamond League and World Athletics. Originally planned for 10 July, the event has been postponed to 14 August, provided the health situation improves. The good news is that spectators have been able to book their seats since 29 June.
The 2020 edition will host some of the biggest names in athletics, including Uganda's Joshua Cheptegei, world 10,000 m champion, winner of the 2019 Diamond League 5,000m and the Monaco Run 5 km, as well as the Netherlands' Sifan Hassan, world champion over 1,500 m and 10,000 m in Doha, and Yulimar Rojas, the Venezuelan two-time world triple jump champion.
The Meeting Herculis EBS 2020 will feature around ten events, the 100 m, 400 m, 1,000 m, 5,000 m, triple jump and high jump for women, and the 200 m, 800 m, 1,500 m, 5,000 m, 110 m hurdles, 3,000 m steeplechase and pole vault for men. There will be 5,000 tickets available for sale to spectators under current legislation.
Tickets are available to purchase online now, and will be on sale (subject to availability) at the Stade Louis II ticket office from 27 July (10 am-12.30 pm and 1.30 pm-6.30 pm, closed on 14 August at 12 pm).
Please note that this year, all of the grandstands will be numbered, and groups of spectators will be asked to maintain an appropriate distance. Masks must be worn on entering the stadium.
