The film is a passionate retelling of the story of Dante Alighieri, the man who brought the beauty of the Italian language to the eyes of the world. The historical, linguistic, and literary reconstruction by legendary film director, ‘Maestro’ Pupi Avati, eschews the iconic if hackneyed portrait of Dante with his laurel crown, and instead invites the audience to feel every drop of the pain and love that the great poet experienced during his life. With a top drawer cast and an immersive cinematography that transports us back in time.
