An unprecedented catastrophe in Japan

It is nearly a year since, inconceivably, three related, unprecedented disasters – a tsunami, an earthquake and an explosion in the reactors of the Fukushima nuclear power plant – occurred one after another on 11 March 2011 in the Sendai region of Japan.

Since then, the Monaco-Japan Association, under the patronage of the Honorary Consulate General in Monaco, has been working tirelessly to support the destitute victims of the Japanese disaster.

Other institutions and Monegasque families, as well as many artists, have joined forces to support this worthy cause.
