The Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra (OPMC) is a Hit with the Audiences!

A successful start to the new season for the OPMC. More than 3,500 people came to the four packed concerts in September.

An unforgettable opening concert on 16 September at the Grimaldi Forum - Gianluigi Gelmetti conducted Verdi's Requiem, with 200 performers on stage and more than 1,600 fans in the concert hall!

On 23 September, the conductor Lionel Bringuier, who is from Nice, and the violinist Leonidas Kavakos, received a heartfelt ovation from an audience of almost 1,000 people at the Auditorium Rainier III. 

On 30 September, the OPMC, split into two groups, performed in two different places in the Principality – a musical morning in the Salle Garnier … the OPMC had the pleasure of playing host to the great violinist Renaud Capuçon, who delighted the public by playing and conducting works by Mozart and Schubert.  More than 500 lucky people had the chance to applaud  - the concert had been sold out for several weeks!

The first free concert of sacred music was a great success – the church was full of more than 400 faithful fans and members of the audience who were attending this type of concert for the first time, some of whom were standing!
The next free concert in this series will take place on 23 December.
