The Ballets de Monte-Carlo Announce a Preview of their 2013-2014 Season

To celebrate his 20th anniversary as Director of the Company, Jean-Christophe Maillot has planned a busy, varied season. The highlight is a performance of "Casse-Noisette et Cie" ("Nutcracker and Co.")

The Ballets de Monte-Carlo's 2013-2014 season will begin on 25 and 26 October 2013 with the "Imprévus" ("Unexpected") by the Princess Grace Academy, with a show on 11 December.

The Opera Garnier will also play host to the Company on 14 and 15 December with a performance of "Solo in Time" by Savion Glover.  "Switch" and "Woman in a Room" will be performed on 18 and 19 December.

But the highlight of the season is undoubtedly the performance of "Casse-Noisette et Cie" from 26 December 2013 to 5 January 2014 at the Grimaldi Forum.  Jean-Christophe Maillot, Director and Choreographer of the Compagnie des Ballets de Monte-Carlo for 20 years, has chosen to celebrate his anniversary by creating a new version of the "Nutcracker," echoing the version created over ten years ago.

The season will continue in February with more "Imprévus," ballets and galas, as well as tours in Moscow, China, the United States, England, Spain and France.
