Francis Rosset’s latest book recounts the history of dance in the Principality of Monaco
For former Société des Bains de Mer manager and engineer Francis Rosset, Monte-Carlo has been a source of discovery and inspiration in both his personal and his professional life.
Francis Rosset has undertaken an enormous amount of research to shine a light on a number of documents and photographs relating to dance which he found in the State archives and the archives of Monte-Carlo SBM, as well as thousands of press articles.
His book, “Ballets à Monte-Carlo”, runs to 300 pages and is the result of three years of work. It illustrates how dance has always played a key role in the cultural life of the Principality – performances have been given since 1654.
“Ballets à Monte-Carlo” is available for purchase at FNAC and Monaco book shop Scripta Manent.
