With his overalls and carefully sculpted beard, Will Barber is clearly not a rocker. With his lap steel guitar, this fan of Ben Harper has blues in his soul and rhythm under his skin. Will Barber is an unusual stage presence, timid, yet exuding quiet strength. He surrounds himself with sounds we have forgotten. He reminds us of Pink Floyd, Creedence, Lynyrd or even the Rolling Stones and the most obscure bluesmen like the guitar player folks of Greenwich.
In 2017, he took part in season 6 of The Voice, a real challenge. With his unique musical style inspired by country music and blues, he wanted to put himself out there and hoped to win over the coaches with his cover of Pink Floyd's "Another Brick In The Wall". The video proved a storm and racked up 75 views on YouTube! Since that experience, Will Barber has performed a string of concerts in France and Europe, always with his distinctive overalls, and Weissenborn guitar in hand. It was Ben Harper that introduced him to the instrument, a musician from whom Will Barber takes inspiration.
