A Very Special Moroccan Day at the Rainier III Auditorium in Monaco

The Monte-Carlo Spring Arts Festival ("Printemps des Arts") is offering a musical voyage on 13 April 2014, with more than 82 musicians and dancers from the Moroccan High Atlas Mountains

The Monte-Carlo Spring Arts Festival ("Printemps des Arts") is presenting a thousand faces of Morocco this Sunday, 13 April, at the Rainier III Auditorium.  Discover a world of pleasure, dances and traditional music at this special "Made in Morocco" day, which will transport the audiences to the Atlas Mountains in Morocco for a unique musical experience.

Refinement, diversity, richness and suppleness aptly describe this music from far away, crossing the High Atlas from east to west.

The programme for this "Secret and Hidden Morocco" day features the Imilchil, Aglagal and Telouat ensembles.

You can also watch and listen to the female ensemble M’almates of Meknès, whose varied repertoire has Andalusian, Berber and African roots.

Ahmed Essyad, a composer who has been travelling around these high valleys for many years, will be visiting, and will present this Berber music and the people who make it.
