The Sporting Summer Festival reveals its first star of the 2014 season
During his successful 40-year career, Sir Elton John has made his mark as one of the iconic figures of international pop.
He is a talented pianist with dozens of hits to his credit, including "Your Song," "I’m Still Standing," "Don’t Go Breaking My Heart" and "Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word."
He has played and performed with the greatest contemporary artists, such as John Lennon, Eric Clapton, Tina Turner, Céline Dion, George Michael, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Queen and Sting.
His new album, entitled "The Diving Board," is now available in the shops. This work is a return to his roots - it immediately recalls the songs that made him famous in the 70s and showcases his favourite instrument, the piano.
