Preview of "The Gardener of God" in Monaco

The film is being screened as part of "Italian Language and Culture Month"

"The Gardener of God" tells the story of Gregor Mendel, a Catholic priest and founder of modern genetics, who lived in the 19th century.

His invention led to "Mendel's laws," which define the way in which genes reproduce from generation to generation.

Mendel is nicknamed "The Gardener of God" because his revolutionary discovery was made during experiments carried out in the vegetable garden of the monastery where he was Prior.

The "Juliet" Rose - Coming to the Princess Grace of Monaco Rose Garden Soon

As part of Italian Culture Month, the city of Verona is presenting "Juliet" rose bushes to the Principality

A grand Gala Evening on the theme of "Romeo and Juliet, from Verona with Love" is planned for Saturday 26 October at the Hôtel Hermitage, under the aegis of the city of Verona.   It will feature opera singer Katia Ricciarelli and is being held in aid of the Children for Peace association.

As a "preview," there will be a presentation of the Juliet rose.  The rose was created in honour of love and in memory of the climbing roses that adorn the Capulets' house in Verona.

The city of Verona is giving thirty rose bushes to Monaco's Rose Garden.
