From Saturday 7 to Sunday 8 December 2019
The Beijing Circus will perform its latest show: The Monkey KingSaturday 7 at 8.30 pm and Sunday 8 December 2019 at 3 pm, Grimaldi Forum Monaco - Salle des Princes

The Beijing Circus presents a spectacular show telling the story of a popular Chinese legend: the Monkey King.

Sun Wu Kong, also known as the Monkey King, was born in China, among the mountains of flowers and fruits. Insolent and ill-disciplined, he was imprisoned by Buddha beneath Five Fingers Mountain. At the same time, the monk Tang, friend of the emperor, was to travel to India to find the sacred scriptures, which he was to translate into Chinese. To aid him, he enlisted the services of four unruly disciples. First the Monkey King, whom he freed first and who swore allegiance to him in return, then the Horse-Dragon, the Wild Pig, and the Distracted Dragon. They embark on their pilgrimage, meting many incredible creatures along the way, and experiencing fun and fantastical adventures.

On stage, around forty artists perform acrobatics in flamboyant costumes, accompanied by extraordinary music and lighting to thrill young and old alike.
