Monte-Carlo Sporting Summer Festival

The Monte-Carlo Sporting Summer Festival in Monaco was born in 1974. Since then, every year in July and August, Monaco has hosted talented artists for exceptional performances.

The Monte-Carlo Sporting Summer Festival symbolises the cultural and human adventure initiated by François Blanc, founder of the Société des Bains de Mer: offering dreams in one of the most beautiful destinations in the world. To do so, every year the festival welcomes internationally famous artists to a glamorous setting: the Salle des Etoiles of the Sporting d’Eté.

Monte-Carlo: An International Shrine of Music

Since 1974, every summer the Principality resounds and vibrates to the beat of legendary artists following each other at breakneck speed and giving unforgettable performances. Rod Stewart, Deep Purple, Mariah Carey, Santana, Frank Sinatra, Shirley Bassey, Tina Turner, and so many others… And the Festival does not simply attract the biggest stars, from every style of music. It is also a place of discovery, a springboard where young stars such as Jamie Cullum, Rihanna, Mika and Alicia Keys… can make their mark.

A Unique Setting

From the start of the Festival, the Salle des Etoiles has welcomed artists and audiences for magical evenings and performances. What better setting than this iconic hall for the Monte-Carlo Sporting Summer Festival with its constellation of artists from the four corners of the world?
With its 1000m², the Salle des Etoiles is one of the most fascinating venues in Europe. It has the unusual feature of huge bay windows overlooking the Mediterranean and the Principality of Monaco, as well as an impressive roof which retracts in a few minutes… so you can enjoy a show under the stars. The Salle des Etoiles provides breath-taking shows reflecting all the magic and dreams of the Principality of Monaco.

An Artistic Director Worthy of This Enchanting Place…

At the head of the Monte-Carlo Sporting Summer Festival, the Artistic Director, Jean-René Palacio, surrounded by a team of more than 50 professionals, has been working since 2010 on the long-term effort to make Monaco an essential venue in the music world. The Monte-Carlo Sporting Summer Festival is one of the biggest live music festivals on the planet, a unique world venue where all your pleasures are in play.
