The Italian violinist and conductor, Uto Ughi is considered one of the greatest violinists of his age. He plays two exceptional instruments, a Guarnieri del Gesù dating from 1744 and a Stradivari "Kreutzer" from 1701.
During this concert, he will perform not just as a soloist, but will also be conducting the orchestra I Solisti Veneti.
The pieces performed will include:
- Preludio e Allegro maestoso by Gaetano Pugnani
- Rondo capriccioso in A minor opus 28 by Camille Saint Saëns
- Romanza opus 50 by Ludwig van Beethoven
- Ciaccona in G minor by Tomaso Antonio Vitali
- Concert for violin and orchestra n°2 opus 7 "La campanella" by Niccolò Paganini
