On 16 November 2017, Monaco Tourist and Convention Authority (DTC) held its traditional evening event. It took place at the Rainier III Auditorium and was attended by more than 350 tourism professionals from the Principality. At this event, held as part of the annual conference of the DTC's representative offices abroad, the Director of Tourism, Guillaume Rose, presented the DTC's new identity signage - "Visit Monaco."
Presentations were also given on the new version of the website "visitmonaco.com," which has been redesigned to give pride of place to images and experience, and the new Facebook page, which is already active, entitled "My Monaco," and devoted exclusively to information on local events.
Guy Antognelli, Deputy Director of Tourism, then announced the excellent results for tourism in the Principality for the year 2017.
Responsible tourism, which will be central to all future activities, was highlighted at this annual conference. This strategy will be based on the slogan "Green is the new Glam," to be used in all markets and promotional material for international tourism.
At this event, Dirk Glaesser, Executive Director of the World Tourism Organization, spoke about the noticeable change towards sustainable and responsible tourism.
