Monaco 2024: Three Grands Prix, One Unique Location

Erscheinungsdatum: 25.04.2024
The Principality and the Automobile Club de Monaco are once again all set for the challenge of hosting no fewer than three Grands Prix - each one a roaring celebration of motor sport and a thrilling spectacle for fans around the world - in the space of just a month.

From the electric excitement of Formula E, to the timeless class of the Grand Prix Historique, and finally the ultimate prestige of the Formula 1 Grand Prix, the iconic streets of Monaco will be the stage for a series of action-packed races.

The Monegasque circuit is not only a big favourite with drivers, but also happens to be one of the most challenging in the world. And over the next few weeks, the eyes of the motor sport world will be firmly fixed on this little corner of the Mediterranean, with plenty of breathtaking spectacle in store! The action starts with the 7th Monaco E-Prix (Saturday 27 April 2024), followed by the 14th Grand Prix de Monaco Historique (10 to 12 May), and finally the climax of this festival of racing, the 81st Formula 1 Grand Prix (23 to 26 May).
The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship is headed for the Principality for the seventh time, with the Monegasque stage now a regular fixture on the competition’s calendar. The meeting will include free practice sessions, qualifying, the main race, and a bonus in the shape of the Allianz Fan Village, with free admission for all spectators and a host of fun activities for all the family. The big new addition this year is FIA Girls on Track, an all-female initiative designed to encourage young women aged 12 to 18 to get into the buzzing world of Formula-E.

The Grand Prix de Monaco Historique will then return for its 14th edition, to the delight of the thousands of classic car fans who flock to the Principality to enjoy the spectacle. The Organising and Selection Committee of the Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM) has announced its decision to “retain the same 8 series and classes unchanged for 2024”. The event will feature tributes and anniversary celebrations in honour of legendary drivers and cars, and as always promises a real journey through the history of automobiles, all the way back to 1924.

The hotly anticipated 81st Formula 1 Grand Prix will provide a fitting finale to this month of incredible motor sport. The world’s greatest drivers will once again push their cars to the limit around the narrow streets of this legendary, yet perilous circuit. Who will take the crown from Max Verstappen, winner of last year’s 80th Grand Prix? One thing’s for certain - the red and white flags will be flying proudly in support of local hero, Charles Leclerc. Let the show begin, and may the best driver win!
