A Nativity Trail in Monaco-Ville
From 8 December 2014 to 11 January 2015, the Rock of Monaco will be the venue for a retrospective look at nativity scenes
Each country and each region creates its own nativity scenes, in line with its traditions and using the materials available.
The Nativity Trail in the Monaco-Ville district, from 8 December 2014 to 11 January 2015, will offer a route with eight different sites.
From the forecourt of the Ministry of State, where "The Chalet of Europe" will be on display (with nativity scenes from Venice, France, Germany, England and Russia) to the Place du Palais, with a Provencal nativity scene and traditional crafts, the trail will enable visitors to see nativity scenes from the continents of Africa and South America (in the Place de la Mairie), as well as the Bethlehem nativity scene, in olive wood, in the choir of the Cathedral.
