"Building a Collection" – The Anniversary Exhibition of the New National Museum of Monaco (NMNM)

The NMNM is presenting the exhibition "Building a Collection," a selection of works acquired by the Museum over the past ten years

Just over ten years since the start of the project to create the Museum and five years after the opening of the Villa Paloma, the exhibition "Building a Collection" will be on show at the two venues of the New National Museum of Monaco - firstly, from January 2015 at the Villa Paloma, then from March at the Villa Sauber.

The exhibition at the Villa Paloma, which opens on 22 January 2015, will present works by contemporary artists such as Jan Fabre, Anish Kapoor, Michel Blazy and Yinka Shonibare.  These artists offer a new look at form and Nature, with the aim of reappropriating it to give it new symbolic value.

The second phase will open to the public on 21 March 2015 at the Villa Sauber.  It will feature works by artists such as Mark Dion, Arman, César, Monet and Turner, as well as many others, representing a "collection of collections."
