Monte Carlo will be Decked Out in Blue and White for the 2014 "Oktoberfest"
The ninth "Oktoberfest," the famous Bavarian festival, will be held in the marquee at the Café de Paris from 10 to 19 October 2014
For the ninth consecutive year, the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer and T.A. Distribution S.A.M., the official importer of premium beers from the Bavarian State Brewery Weihenstephan, the oldest brewery in the world, are organising the "Oktoberfest," under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.
There will be a variety of delicious foods directly from Bavaria - some of the favourites will feature on the menu by Jean-Claude Brugel, the chef at the Café de Paris.
The opening evening will take place on Friday 10 October 2014 at 7.30 p.m. in the marquee at the Café de Paris. As every year, after the traditional piercing of the first barrel of Weihenstephan beer, the Bavarian expression "O’Zapft is" will be pronounced.
The "Echt Guat" group, directed by Michael Stumberger, will provide entertainment for the evening, including music for the dance floor, with a festive, lively and cheerful repertoire.
This year, guests can order traditional "Dirndl" Bavarian costumes from the web site www.dresscoded.com. The costumes can be collected throughout the "Oktoberfest" from a stall set up especially for the purpose in the hall of the Café de Paris.
