モナコ新国立美術館にて秋の特別展覧会開催

モナコ新国立美術館のパロマ館とソベール館で特別展覧会「ダンス、ダンス、ダンス（Danse, Danse, Danse）」と「デザイン・ドリーム〜レオン・バクストを偲んで（Designing Dreams, a celebration of Leon Bakst）」が開催されます。

特別展覧会「ダンス、ダンス、ダンス（Danse, Danse, Danse）」はパロマ館で開催されます。この展覧会では、移動の仕方、コラボの様子、そしてそ振り付けからさらに枠を広げたアプローチという面においてのダンスの振り付けについて迫り、ダンス、そのイメージ、身体、様々なリズム、稽古の風景から公演までの様子が語られます。この展覧会では、 美術館内において、作品とダンサー、振り付け家との関わりを結びつける生身の芸術についての研究を行うワークショップ、この展覧会講演会、様々な分野の芸術作品にオープンな舞台が開かれます。

 

 特別展覧会「デザイン・ドリーム〜レオン・バクストを偲んで（Designing Dreams, a celebration of Leon Bakst）」はソベール館で開催されます。この展覧会は南カリフォルニア大学教授ジョン＝E・ボールトの協力により、多くの研究者や関係者の方々のおかげで実現しました。展示作品はモナコ新国立美術館及びSBM社が所蔵しているものです。

この展覧会ではロシアバレエ（１９１０〜１９２１年）のためにレオン・バクストが創作したなかでももっと美しい作品の数々が紹介されており、彼のデザインがテキスタイルの世界 に大きな影響を与えたことを示しています。芸術家でコンテンポラリーダンスの振付家でもあるニック・マウスはバクスとが１９２２年から１９２４年にわたってデザインしたテキスタイル見本から発想を受けてソベール館を壮大な規模でその内装をデザインし、バクストの豪華な作品に敬意を表しました。

"Dance, Dance, Dance" at the New National Museum of Monaco

What Shall We Do Next? At the Villa Paloma in Monaco

On Friday 18 and Sunday 20 November, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., the Villa Paloma is presenting What Shall We Do Next? (Séquence #3), a performance by Julien Prévieux, interpreted by Marion Carriau, Sophie Demeyer, K. Goldstein and Kate Moran.

What Shall We Do Next? (Séquence #3) is a performance that takes "patented" gestures as a starting point.  The artist has created a choreographic work by selecting gestures that have been patented by companies from the American industrial property agency's web site.  This performance is a veritable archive of "gestures of the future," and is an opportunity for Julian Prévieux to ponder on the ownership of our most common gestures and the way in which we are constantly made to change the repertoire of our "body techniques."  The aim is to show what our physical future could be like, how we will move our hands and eyes in five or ten years' time and ask to whom our gestures belong.
