Third Summer Carnival on the Rock and its Carnival King ("U Sciaratu") in Monaco!
On Friday 19 July, the narrow streets of Monaco Old Town will be filled with processions of floats, street parades, entertainment and troupes of musicians
"U Sciaratu" is the Monegasque Carnival King. The tradition has been brought up to date on the initiative of Monaco City Hall.
On 19 July 2013, from 6 pm, the City Hall is organising processions of floats on the theme of fruit (Circuit: Place du Palais – Cathedral - Oceanographic Museum – Place de la Visitation – Rue des Remparts – Place du Palais); troupes of musicians, demonstrations of Tahitian dance and all kinds of entertainment, performances and giant games.
A dance with a DJ in the Place de la Mairie will bring the evening to a close at 10 pm.
