The 31st Monte-Carlo Spring Arts Festival ("Printemps des Arts") Continues from 2 to 5 April 2015

Musical weekend No. 3 for audiences of the Monte-Carlo Spring Arts Festival

The third weekend of the Monte-Carlo Spring Arts Festival ("Printemps des Arts") will open on Thursday 2 April 2015 with an "Out of Town" concert at the Casino in Beaulieu sur Mer.  Pianist Florent Boffard will perform in a concert on the theme of "The Great Bach and His Influence."

On Friday 3 April 2015, musicologist Lucie Kayas is offering an introduction to the works of Franco Donatoni, entitled "Modernity Italian Style*," at the Rainier III Auditorium at 7 p.m.  The evening will continue with a concert by the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra - conducted by Gianluigi Gelmetti and Kazuki Yamada – who will play works by Sibelius and Donatoni from 8.30 p.m.

"Music Conservatories Day" will begin on Saturday 4 April 2015 at 3 p.m. in the Rainier III Auditorium.  The Academy of Monaco and local music conservatories will be present.  Musicologist Emmanuel Reibel will give an introduction to the works, "The Art of the Fugue – An Art of Diffraction?," which will take place in the Oceanographic Museum at 7 p.m.

At 8.30 p.m., at the Oceanographic Museum, the Remix Ensemble Casa da Música will give a concert featuring works by Bach and Schollhorn 

On Sunday 5 April, at 4.30 p.m., another introduction to the works will be organised in the Atrium of the Casino, followed at 6 p.m. by a concert at the Opéra Garnier, "Baroque Bach," with the ensemble La Belle Aventure
