Julio Iglesias in Concert at the Monte-Carlo Sporting Summer Festival

5/21/2012  Shows

Latino artist Julio Iglesias will perform on stage at the Sporting in two special concerts on 17 and 18 August 2012.

Enrique Iglesias  (the son!) will open the largest live music festival in the world on 6 July – while Julio Iglesias (the father!) will bring the 2012 Monte-Carlo Sporting Summer Festival to a close on 17 and 18 August 2012.

Amazing crooner Julio Iglesias, who has made 80 albums, can sing just as well in French, German, Italian, English, Portuguese or Mandarin!  This ability has earned him a place in the record books as "the artist who has sold the most discs in the greatest number of languages."

He is also the Latin star who has sold the greatest number of discs in the world.

Since his very first album, "Soy," which was released in 1969, the sensual voice of this singer from Madrid, who was destined to become a footballer, has delighted women – and men – from three generations, from China to Japan via Latin America, Europe and the United States!

Extraordinary longevity for this singer, whose talent, joie de vivre and generosity make him a true artist.  The audience will be swept away and transported to exotic latitudes by the rumba and calypso rhythms.  They can discover some of his innumerable hits, some of which feature on his latest album, entitled "1" - like a return to his roots.  And he has a surprise in store for the audience … ssssh!  Surprises have to be kept secret.
