Fontvieille Park encircles the Big Top, providing the district with a landscaped park in the heart of the city that’s popular with families. It is home to Mediterranean plants such as olive, pine and cypress trees, alongside more exotic species like Strelitzias, Stenocarpus and Araucarias.

Along the winding paths that meander through the park, visitors can admire a host of botanical and cultural treasures and artworks, including one priceless piece by the celebrated sculptor Fernando Botero.

There is an educational kitchen garden, the “Smart Flower”, and a children’s playground.  The park also has a landscaped pond where you’ll find free ranging ducks, geese, and carp of all sizes, which you can admire from the banks or the wooden footbridge.

Don’t be surprised if you come across a family of ducks taking a walk!

The park is open from 9 am to 6 pm, and admission is free
