Regular bus routes in Monaco
Six regular bus routes serve Monaco's different districts. They run every day from 7 a.m. to around 9 p.m., with regular stops at each station. Their different routes ensure optimum coverage of the Principality, its living areas, monuments and other points of interest:
- Line 1: Monaco-Ville (le Rocher) - Saint-Roman (return): serves the Prince's Palace , the Cathedral , the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco , Place d'Armes, Port Hercule, Mareterra , Jardin Japonais , Square Beaumarchais, Place du Casino and the Tourist Office, among others.
- Route 2: Monaco-Ville - Exotic Garden (return): serves the Prince's Palace , the Cathedral , the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco , Port Hercule, Square Beaumarchais, the Tourist Office, Place du Casino, the train station and Villa Paloma.
- Route 3: Fontvieille (Centre Commercial de Fontvieille) - Hector Otto (return): services include the Heliport, Place d'Armes, Port Hercule, Place Sainte-Dévote, Hospital, Observatory, Station, Villa Paloma and Parc Princesse Antoinette.
- Route 4: Fontvieille (shopping center) - Saint-Roman (return): services include the Princess Grace Rose Garden , Heliport , Stade Louis II , Port de Fontvieille, Place d'Armes, train station, Monte-Carlo and La Rousse.
- Route 5: Hôpital - Larvotto (return): serves Observatoire, Gare, Monte-Carlo, Grimaldi Forum , Villa Sauber , Larvotto beach , Sporting.
- Route 6: Fontvieille (shopping center) - Larvotto (return): serves the Princess Grace Rose Garden , Heliport , Stade Louis II , Port de Fontvieille, Port Hercule, Place du Casino, Grimaldi Forum , Larvotto beach , Sporting.
The night bus
After 9 p.m., there are two night bus routes (N1 and N2) for getting around the Principality. Line N1 uses the destinations of daytime lines 1 and 4, while line N2 follows a similar route to lines 2 and 4.
L'Express lines
From Monday to Friday, during the day, four express lines (called XPRESS) connect the Principality's main points of interest, with just three or four stops along the way:
- Line X1: Exotic Garden - Station - Place d'Armes
- Line X2: Exotic Garden - Station - Monte-Carlo
- Route X3: Fontvieille - Port Hercule - Portier/Mareterra - Larvotto
- Line X4: Fontvieille - Portier/Mareterra - Saint-Roman - Place d'Armes
On-demand bus routes
Monaco's Plati, Fleurs and Annonciade districts have no regular bus stops. The Compagnie des Autobus de Monaco offers "ClicBus" shuttle buses in these areas, which can be ordered directly by users, to take them to Place d'Armes, Fontvieille Centre Commercial, Monte-Carlo Tourisme and Place des Moulins in town. The service operates from 7 a.m. to 9.20 p.m., 7 days a week.
The ClicBus service also operates at night, from 9.20 pm to 1.30 am (2.30 am on Fridays and Saturdays), at all regular bus stops in Monaco.

Monaco city bus fares
Single tickets, sold by the driver, cost €2 for one journey and a 30-minute connection.
By credit card or via the Monapass application, the single ticket costs €1.50 per journey, and the daily pass €5.50 for unlimited journeys.

Monthly and annual passes are also available for travel within the Principality and on the Côte d'Azur's urban and interurban lines (Lignes d'Azur, Envibus, Palm Bus, Sillages and Zest) at preferential rates.

Don't forget the Parking des Salines, at the entrance to Monaco. Easy access, secure, open 24 hours a day and at a preferential rate.
