MonaBike electric bikes in Monaco
350 electric bikes are available to MonaBike subscribers and users in Monaco. With electric assistance of up to 25 km/h, these comfortable bicycles make getting around the Principality effortless, despite the city-state's hilly terrain. All MonaBike bicycles are recharged at the charging stations and, when fully charged, have a range of over 60 kilometers.
MonaBike charging stations all over Monaco
To enjoy the MonaBike service, visitors and tourists must register on the Monapass application or directly on monabike.mc. All they have to do is choose their formula, from a single trip at €1 per 30 minutes for occasional users, to 24H, 7-day, monthly or annual passes for more assiduous cyclists.
Monaco bus subscribers can unlock the bikes directly with their CAM card; without this card, Monabike users flash the QR code on the bike directly onto their smartphone. In both cases, the green light on the terminal signals that the bike can be borrowed: the journey starts as soon as the bike is unhooked. With the exception of a single trip costing €1, the first half-hour of each trip is free, then €1 is deducted from 31 minutes of use, and €2 per half-hour beyond one hour of use. Simply return the bike to the terminal to complete the journey and end the transaction.
Fontvieille, the Exotic Garden, Monaco-Ville, the Port, the Railway Station, Larvotto, Monte-Carlo, Saint-Roman... It's easy to find a MonaBike terminal in Monaco: each of the Principality's districts has at least one station nearby.
Where to cycle in Monaco
To make it easier to get around the Principality by bike, Monaco has created a network of cycle lanes and exclusive right-of-way paths to make journeys safer and traffic more fluid. MonaBikes rented on demand can be used on Monaco's various cycle paths: the avenue Princesse Grace cycle path, the Rocher tunnel cycle path (between Fontvieille and Port Hercule), the cycle lane between Larvotto and the La Condamine district... Bus lanes are also shared with bikes, bringing the total number of lanes dedicated to cyclists in the Principality to 6 kilometers (by 2025)!
