There are six of
them, and they play in both attack and defence, like Arcade Fire. Two years ago, the young singer Coline
arrived, giving structure to the adventure that had already begun for the five
boys (who were all childhood friends.
There's Pablo on trombone and percussion, Rémy on synthesiser, Alexis on
bass synth, Pierre on sax and percussion, and Simon on drums and vocals). Coline's voice,
which is reminiscent of Björk and the Cocteau Twins, is powerful and clear, and
perfectly suited to the melodies that this band from Nantes put together. They are influenced by Radiohead,
electro and R' n' B, and are always concerned to reach out to as many people as
possible. With its class and
character, this band seems able to open up new horizons to music from here and
abroad. French pop will definitely
remember the time when Inüit took their first steps on the ice, with masses of
determination and great talent.
