The Orchestra of the New Philharmonia of Hamburg in Monaco

The Hamburg Philharmonic Orchestra will play at Monaco Cathedral on Friday 7 June 2013 at 8.30 pm

The New Philharmonia of Hamburg was created in 2001 by professional musicians.

The orchestra has gained great artistic renown, under the baton of famous guest conductors and collaboration with soloists.  It offers performances of the works of the great German composers (such as Bach, Beethoven and Brahms) and other European composers (such as Ravel and Debussy) and continues to perform at the leading European concert halls, as well as in Japan and the United States.

On the programme:
Les 8 saisons de Vivaldi et Piazzolla  (The 8 Seasons of Vivaldi and Piazzolla)

4 seasons by Vivaldi and 4 seasons by Piazzolla, i.e. 8 breathtaking and deliberately contrasting seasons!

The lyricism of Vivaldi's music contrasts with the gritty urban ambiance of Piazzolla …

The Orchestra of the New Philharmonia of Hamburg invites you on a musical journey in the company of these two works – one is a monument of classical music and the other is a real cultural exploration for the senses.
