Sport - "Monaco Optimist Team Race"

The cream of international Optimist team racing will be in the Principality in January for the 14th for the Monaco Optimist Team Race. A total of 72 competitors aged under 14 will be representing 17 nations. Unlike fleet regattas, the races will take the form of duels between four-person teams. Altogether, some 153 legs will take place in the waters off Monaco, each requiring great tactical skill and finesse. To prepare for the competition and perfect their team racing abilities, the competitors already in situ can take part in an International Clinic (8 to 10 January), under the supervision of the international World Sailing judge and referee, Chris Atkins.From Wednesday 10 to Sunday 14 January 2024, Bay of Monaco
