Dubbed "Prince of the Bosphorus" made his breakthrough in Europe with the single Simarik. Also known as "Kiss Kiss", it was a smash hit in the summer of 1998, selling over a million copies!
The singer then released "Come Closer" in 2006, his only English-language album featuring rapper Wyclef Jean. Produced in New York, it was the lift-off for his international career.
In 2016, his album "Ahde Vefa" was named best project at the 43rd Golden Butterfly Awards, and in 2017 "10" sold over 330,000 copies in under three weeks.
The legendary Ahmet Ertegün, founder of Atlantis Records, ranked Tarkan among the world's best live performers.
