THE FIREWORKS
"The Portuguese Odyssey"
This is the show that Macedos Pyrotechnics will present as part
of the Monaco International Musical Fireworks Competition. "The Portuguese Odyssey" is a
show that revisits the fantastic odyssey of Portuguese navigators crossing the
oceans to discover an unknown world.
These discoveries propelled humanity into the age of globalisation and
changed our relationship with the planet for ever. Portugal has played a leading role in this process for
centuries, creating new sea routes and movements of people, animals and plants
around the world. With our show,
spectators can feel this incredible meeting of cultures and the ambition,
ideas, effort and innovation that made it possible. Through the rhythm of the music, combined with traditional
Portuguese fireworks, our aim is to totally enthuse the spectators.
