The designer and collector Pierre Le-Tan boasts two identities,
which are both linked to each other.
Originally from Vietnam, he is the son of the painter Le Phô. He was born in Neuilly Sur Seine and has
pursued his career in France. From Friday 13 April to Wednesday 13 June (Monday to Friday) from 2 pm to 6.30 pm Galerie 11 Columbia
The gallery is
exhibiting his drawings of imaginary summer destinations, in which he invents
little stories to increase our sense of travelling. But the reverie stops when we find ourselves confronted with
a door drawn on the wall. The
confusion and the questioning of this plunges us into a combination of fiction
and reality, and opens the doors of our imagination.
Pierre Le-Tan plays
on reality. In an installation
that presents a mise en abîme of his
drawings, the artist raises the question of representation. Does all this have a meaning? Should we look for meaning in it? Or can we simply enjoy the fact of losing
ourselves in it and indulging in contemplation … ?
