The "Rendez-Vous aux Jardins"
garden visits, held on the initiative of the French Ministry of Culture, take
place every year on the first weekend of June.From Friday 1 June to Sunday 3 June, Principauté de Monaco
The aim of the "Rendez-Vous aux Jardins" event is to
enable a wide public to discover the richness and diversity of parks and
gardens, while highlighting the artistic and cultural aspects. It is also an opportunity to raise
visitors' awareness of the action taken with regard to restoring and creating
gardens and training gardeners and landscape gardeners.
The Principality of Monaco is taking part in the
"Rendez-vous aux Jardins" event, which will take place this year on
1, 2 and 3 June 2018 on the theme of "Europe of Gardens."
As part of this event, the new Heritage Trees Trail (in the
Monaco-Ville and Fontvieille districts) will be officially launched.
The Department of Urban Amenities (DAU) is offering
a programme of visits on 2 and 3 June (1 June is reserved for schoolchildren):
Princess Grace Rose Garden -
Japanese Garden – Saint Martin Gardens:
Visits at 9 a.m., 10.30 a.m., 2.30 p.m.
and 4 p.m.
Duration: 1 hour
*Heritage Trees Trail
in Fontvieille and Monaco Ville:
Visits at 9.30 a.m.
and 2.30 p.m. (departing from Monaco Ville)
Duration: 2 hours
Guided tours of the
gardens by the DAU – Group of 15 people maximum
