Gabor Takacs-Nagy has conducted the National Orchestra of Lyon, the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, the Bologna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Aachen Symphony Orchestra, the South Netherlands Philharmonic, The üdwestdeutsche Philharmonie, the Toulon Opera Orchestra, the Bilkent Symphony Orchestra, the Calgary Philharmonic, the Malaysian Philharmonic, the BBC Wales Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Northern Sinfonia, the Dijon-Bourgogne Orchestra, the Geneva Chamber Orchestra and the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra, among others.
Since 1997, Gábor Takács-Nagy has been a string quartet teacher at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève (Geneva University of Music).  In June 2012, he was appointed Honorary Member of the Royal Academy of Music in London and in March 2017 received the prestigious Bartók-Pásztory Award from the Liszt Academy Foundation.
