The 25th Monte-Carlo International Odontostomatology Congress

The 25th International Odontostomatology Congress will take place on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 November 2013 in the François Blanc Lecture Hall at the Sporting d’Hiver, Place du Casino.

The main theme of the Congress will be "New Therapeutic and Technological Challenges in Odontostomatology.

The Ambassador of Italy to Monaco, H.E. Mr. Antonio Morabito, will welcome the delegates.

Eminent speakers have been invited to present their research and the latest developments in the field of Odontostomatology.  This year, we will celebrate the quarter century of our Congress, which has always taken place in Monte-Carlo.

The scientific work will begin on Friday 15 November at 9 a.m.  Aldo Ruspa, Director of the Odontostomatology Unit at the Pinna Pintor Clinic in Turin and Plianio Pinna Pintor, President of the Arturo Pinna Pintor Foundation, will speak on "The First 25 Years of the Monte-Carlo International Odontostomatology Congress."

Giano Ricci, President of European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, Florence, will discuss "Guiding Principles for an Appropriate Aesthetic in Periodontal Prosthetic Therapy."

Talib Naijar, Professor of Surgery and Oral Pathology at the School of Dentistry, University of New Jersey, USA, will give a lecture on "Cancer of the Oral Cavity – Prevention, Diagnosis and Treatment."

Gjorgy Szabo, Director of the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Budapest, Hungary, will speak on "New Diagnostic and Therapeutic Methods in the Pathology of the Salivary Glands."

Lunch will take place at 1 p.m. in the Salon Bellevue, Café de Paris, which has a beautiful view over the Place du Casino.

The scientific work will continue in the afternoon with two sessions on Orthodontics:  Rosalia Leonardi, Professor of Orthodontics in Catania, will speak on "3D Imagery in Ganthology – Current Issues, Perspectives and Clinical Applications of Computerised Tomography."

Antonella Polimeni, President of the College of Odontology Professors in Rome, will give a presentation on "Interdisciplinary Clinical Research for Preventative Paediatric Orthognathics."  

Giampietro Farronato, Director of the Department of Department of Orthodontics and Gnathology at the University of Milan will speak on "E-Orthodontics – from Diagnosis to Therapy."

In the evening, the Government of the Principality of Monaco will host a cocktail party in the prestigious and historic Salle Empire at the Hôtel de Paris, which benefits from a magnificent view of the Place du Casino.

Scientific work will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday 16 November.

Arnaldo Castellucci from Florence will discuss "The Latest New-Generation Rotary Instruments – the ProTaper Next" and will coordinate the Endodontics session.

For the session on Conservative Dentistry, Ernesto Rapisarda from Catania will give a presentation on "The Use of Ultrasound in Conservative Dentistry," and for the session on Implantology, Stefano Carossa, Director of the Dental School of the University of Turin, will speak on the subject of "Load-Bearing Full-Arch Immediate Implants  - Biomechanical Aspects."

At the close of the Congress on Saturday 16 November at 5 p.m., the sponsor, Dental Tribune, will offer free registration for its on-line courses (22 CE credits)
