European Health Passport goes live in Monaco

The European Health Passport is now in use for all visitors to the Principality of Monaco. Here you will find more information about travelling to the Principality depending on which country you are arriving from.

There are also details about the measures being taken to limit the spread of the virus, and the health recommendations you need to follow during your stay in Monaco.

Green zones

Visitors aged eleven and over arriving from green zones* may enter the Principality, provided they can show :

  • A certificate proving that they have been fully vaccinated and:
    - At least 28 days have passed since they received their single dose of the Janssen vaccine  
    - At least 14 days have passed since they received their second dose of any other approved vaccine 

              OR

  • A negative PCR or antigen test taken within the last 48 hours 

              OR

  • A certificate confirming that they have recovered from Covid-19. This certificate is valid for only six months. 

Please note: The obligation does not apply to residents of Alpes Maritimes, Var, and the province of Imperia, provided their stay in Monaco does not exceed 24 hours.

*Green zone countries: EU Member States, Andorra, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, San Marino, Switzerland, Vatican City, Albania, Australia, Bosnia, Canada, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Kosovo, Lebanon, Montenegro, New Zealand, North Macedonia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, United States, Vanuatu.

 

Orange zones

Visitors aged eleven and over arriving from orange zones** must show:

  • A negative PCR or antigen test taken within the last 48 hours
  • AND a certificate proving that they have been fully vaccinated and 
    - At least 28 days have passed since they received their single dose of the Janssen vaccine
    - At least 14 days have passed since they received their second dose of any other 

         OR

  • A negative PCR or antigen test taken within the last 48 hours
  • AND a certificate confirming that they have recovered from Covid-19. This certificate is valid for only six months

**Orange zone countries: the orange zone includes all countries not classed in the green or red zones.

Red zones

Visitors aged eleven and over arriving from red zones*** must show:

  • a compelling reason to enter the Principality
  • a negative PCR or antigen test taken within the last 48 hours
  • and they must also self-isolate for seven days. Visitors must then be tested again, between five and seven days later.

***Red zone countries: Afghanistan, Argentina, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Democratic Republic of Congo, Guyana, India, Maldives, Namibia, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Paraguay, Russia, Seychelles, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Suriname, Uruguay, Zambia. 

 

The above measures will remain in force up to and including 30 September.
