5th Monte-Carlo ZENN Rally

The "Zero Emission – No Noise" Monte-Carlo Rally will take place on 21 and 23 March 2014

The 5th "ZENN" (Zero Emission - No Noise) Rally, which now replaces the Urban Electric Challenge, is open to competitors with an electric vehicle with autonomy of less than 250 km (approx. 155 miles).

Like the Monte-Carlo New Energy Rally, the "ZENN" will also include several regularity tests, including the first "La Turbie – Peille" (approx. 7 miles).  These tests will be held on Friday 21 March at the time of the Common Leg, on the renowned twisty roads of the national forest of Peillon, in the hinterland.

The decisive contest will take place on Saturday 22 March in a final stage between the sea and the mountains, near Sainte-Agnès, the highest coastal village in Europe.  It will come to a triumphant finish on the Port of Monaco with the manoeuvrability test, which is identical to the one taken by competitors in the 15th Monte-Carlo New Energy Rally.

A "partners'" village, situated near the Parc Fermé in Monaco, will be open to the public throughout the event.  The programme features various exhibitions and activities on the theme of the car of tomorrow, sustainable development, etc.
